You can help Us

A generous community has supported the Franklin Food Pantry since its opening in 1987. As a private, nonprofit organization, we depend entirely on support and donations from volunteers, corporate partners, schools, churches and community members. We receive NO funding from the town or state. Here are some ways you can help:

DONATE MONEY

Monetary gifts enable the Pantry to:

  • Purchase more nutritious and FRESH food (fruits, vegetables, dairy products and meats) to supplement nonperishable food donations.
  • Purchase food from the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) at the best possible price. The Pantry can leverage its buying power to acquire food for a fraction of what it costs in the grocery store.
  • Meet community need all year long, especially during times when food drives and fundraisers happen less frequently.
You can donate online here:

Or you can mail a check, payable to the Franklin Food Pantry, to P.O. Box 116, Franklin, MA 02038.

HOLD A FOOD AND FUND DRIVE

Your organization can sponsor a Food and Fund Drive to benefit the Pantry.

First, you must complete our Food and Fund Drive Intake Form and email it to laura@franklinfoodpantry.org. We will contact you once we receive the Intake Form. Click on the links below for more information:

VOLUNTEER

We count on a core group of adult volunteers who are involved in the daily operations of the Pantry. Learn more about our adult volunteer opportunities.

We do all we can to accommodate youth volunteers, but our capacity is limited because the confidential nature of our client population requires volunteers to be a minimum of 18 years of age. But, there are opportunities during non-client hours and for special projects during the year.

Due to the constraints of our building, it is difficult to accommodate large community and corporate groups of volunteers. One way to help is to sponsor a Food and Fund Drive to benefit the Pantry. For other ideas, please contact Erin Lynch, executive director, at erin@franklinfoodpantry.org

We do have a need for adult and youth volunteers to help out on an as needed basis.
